I have mentioned before that I started to hear RNR music almost right out of the crib, this genre has evolved in such way that went from Rock N’ Roll to Grind Rock, which for me is a bit heavy. I have learned to enjoy a lot of the branches or sub-genre like some writers name them. My favorite sub-genre is Heavy Metal tending towards Power Metal
In this opportunity I will not start with the Classics I started to hear in the early 70’s, I will start with AVANTASIA a German Heavy Metal band. According to Classic Rock Magazine and other Blogs I have read they started around the year 1999.
How I got to hear about this band? During the early 1990’s there was a German Band very into the Heavy Metal music, the name of the band was Edguy, and was the first time I heard a German Rock band. I cannot recall well how many members the band had but I do recall well the name of Tobias Sammet. Main reason, I am from South America, for me was quite funny having a German Person with a Spanish name. Years later Tobias Sammet came along with Avantasia a very good Band with powerful guitar riffs and good rhythm overall. The Edguy Vinyl I bought back then was King of Madness, it was the second album of Edguy. I lost track of them during the following years until Avantasia came out, Tobias Sammet with this band put on the market 12 records. I will share here the first song of this album, Paradise. I did like The Kingdom though, but was 18 minutes in length, quite a Prog length song time.

Como lo he mencionado en oportunidades anteriores, empecé a escuchar Rock N’ Roll casi desde la cuna. Este género ha evolucionado tanto que comenzó como RNR y ahora tiene variantes como el Grind Rock, que para mí es un poco heavy. He aprendido a disfrutar de mucho de los géneros derivados, el que más me gusta es el Heavy Metal con tendencias hacia el Power Metal.
En esta oportunidad no mencionare los clásicos que comencé a escuchar a comienzos de los 70’s, Comenzare con AVANTASIA un grupo de Power Rock. De acuerdo a las fuentes investigadas, blogs y classic rock magazine esta banda comenzó alrededor del año 1999.
Como di para escuchar a esta banda?. A comienzos de los 90’s había una banda de rock alemana que se llamaba Edguy, era la primera vez que escuchaba la banda, no me acuerdo bien cuantos integrantes tenía la banda pero si me acuerdo del nombre de Tobias Sammet. Siendo yo de Sur América, me pareció simpático un alemán con nombre latino. Años más tarde Tobias Sammet fundo el grupo AVANTASIA, muy buen grupo con poderosos Riffs y buen sonido y ritmo. El Álbum de Vinil que compre en aquel entonces de Edguy que pode adquirir se llamaba King of Madness, era el Segundo LP de la agrupación. Le perdí huella al grupo hasta que años más tarde me tropecé con AVANTASIA. Tobias Sammet con la Banda Edguy produjeron 12 Álbumes. En esta entrega compartiré el primer sencillo de King of Madness, aunque me gustaba más Kingdom pero dura 18 minutos, tiempo que una Buena canción del Genero Progressive Rock.
