Originally released in 1973, The Dark Side of The Moon became Pink Floyd's first number 1 album, despite of being the 8th Pink Floyd’s production. One of the best-selling and most critically acclaimed albums of all time, The Dark Side of The Moon also introduced the iconic album cover artwork by Hipgnosis, after a request for a 'simple and bold' design, have sold a bit more than 50 million copies, B4 going into studio the songs of this album were worked out many time in live performances so the group decided to not use any technological advantage available at that time to recorded it, as a result this year the US Library of Congress National Recording Registry has selected this album to be part of their archives, stating that “The Dark Side of the moon is an example of brilliant, innovative production in service of the music. En esta oportunidad me gustaría hablar sobre Pink Floyd, este año el álbum The Dark Side of the Moon. Ha llegado a sus 40 años.
Este álbum fue lanzado al aire por primera vez en Marzo de 1973, y se convirtió en el trabajo #1 de Pink Floyd, a pesar de que fue el octavo álbum lanzado por la banda. Es considerado uno de los trabajos más emblemáticos, críticos y el de mayor venta de todos los tiempos. The Dark Side of The Moon además incluye la portada emblema realizado por Hipgnosis, después que los miembros de la banda le requirieran un diseño sencillo pero contundente.
