It has been a while since I last wrote. Nevertheless today I feel it is time to say something about Queen. Of course, this will take me at least five deliverables to go by such great RNR band. Like many other great bands from the United Kingdom, Queen has its origins in the late 60's. Having the first LP album, self-named QUEEN launched in 1973, I started hearing them in the late 70's. As you may all know, this band had four guys with different interest and one common dream; Farrokh Bulsara (Artistic name: Fred Mercury) interested in graphic design, Brian May interested in physics and infrared astronomy. Rogers Meddows (Artistic name: Taylor) interested in being a dentist and John Deacon was interested in Electronics. From the album Queen to Made in heaven, there were so many songs that built our memories. The first Queen Song I heard was Fat Bottom girls, from the LP Jazz in 1978. Bicycle Race and don't stop me now were the famous songs besides Fatt bottom girls. This was the seventh Album and few months after, the Live Album Killer Queen came along, and since then, I have been following the band. 39 years out of the 47+ years the band has. In the United States, the launch of this Album was in New Orleans at the Fairmont Hotel, the admission ticket to the event was 200,000.00 $US. Mustapha, written by Fred Mercury was other well-known single. Unfortunately, did not get the market recognition like the other three songs at that time. Having Latino background, an interesting fact I feel good about this, Mustapha was released as a single, first in Bolivia, Spain, then in Yugoslavia and Germany in 1979, rather than the United States. Perhaps this is why?
In total, the original group recorded 15 Studio albums. Running out of lines for this written riff, I cannot go over all the albums, mainly because I would like to add some of my life circumstances around these classic RNR songs. All though, picking the first album, Queen, there were among the most significant songs this LP had; Keep Yourself Alive, Liar, Seven seas of Rhye. None of these written by Fred Mercury. After this Album, Mercury accepted within the band and team, critics to improve his writing skills, after all, Mercury convinced May and Rogers that having him in the Band will propel the status of the band, besides the name of the band, was proposed by Fred Mercury. Mercury did write King Rat, good song but not the level should have. It was Keep yourself alive written by May, that put this Band in the RNR world with this LP. In future written riff's I will go ove Lambert the want to be Mercury Singer. Other than the 59th Rose Bowl: #1 Southern California beats #3 Ohio State, 42-17 unfortunately. The Dolphins winning their first super bowl against the Washington Redskins, the Grand Prix was in October in New York instead of Indianapolis, I guess being in elementary school I heard a lot what my parents use to watch and listen.
Until the next written riff
