This British Rock band like so many others have been around since ever, specifically since 1980 when this first album got released, even though the official Iron Maiden web page says they were formed in 1975.
The first song I heard was in 1984, flight of Icarus from the album Piece of Mind. Since then I got hooked with this band becoming one of my favorites. Around fifteen years later, a special remastered edition version of this album came along with two extra tracks, one of them featuring a Jethro Tull theme from Aqualung, a progressive rock album released in 1971.
I lived in Venezuela back in the day and I recall pretty well I went digging out, literally digging to see what I could find about this band. Back then there was no internet available.
During my quest I found the number of the beast LP and the first Album, self-Titled Iron Maiden. Guitarist Dave Murray since the beginning gave a boost to the songs every time a solo was played. The guitar intro in the number of the beast Single and Iron maiden guitar solo from the first album became legendary. There are two great albums that came out, The X Factor in 1995 (10th LP of the Band) and Virtual XI in 1998 (11th LP of the Band). I remember clearly because on 1995 and 1998 Both AFC Championship my team Pittsburgh Steelers lost, in 95 against the San Diego Chargers 17-13 and in 98 against The Denver Broncos 24-21.
The X factor Album shows a more Mature Iron Maiden, more acoustics and not as heavy as I was used to. Perhaps the change of singer helped. Even though critics and most people say that Lord of the Flies and Man on the Edge were the best songs, I believe the core of this album is in The Aftermath, Judgment of Heaven and the Unbeliever.
The Virtual XI Album despite what critics in general say, I believe this album did a great job to get back to roots and keeping the trend of the soft metal rock.
Of course I am not going to argue that Iron Maiden with Bruce Dickinson sound better, once said this I did not had the chance to hear enough the former singer Paul Di’anno, the first album sound great. Changes need to be embraced, even in Rock N’ Roll. Blaze Bayley did not deliver the same Voice, of course, is not the sound of the voice of Bruce. In my mind is not the worst Album Iron Maiden has, but indeed it is not what fans are used to.
Today Iron maiden have 16 studio album and still touring, I will touch base with this great band sometime soon. They will be in Tampa on June 2017. I might have to go and enjoy Classic Heavy metal Rock with or without Bruce

Esta banda de Rock británica como tantas otras bandas, han estado presente desde siempre, específicamente desde 1980 cuando consiguió lanzar su primer álbum, a pesar de que la página oficial de Iron Maiden dice que se formaron en 1975.
La primera canción que escuché fue en 1984, el vuelo del Ícaro del álbum Piece of Mind. Desde entonces me quedé encantado con este grupo, convirtiéndose en uno de mis favoritos. El guitarrista Dave Murray desde el principio le dio un impulso a las canciones cada vez que tocaba un solo. El intro de guitarra en el sencillo el número de la bestia y el solo de guitarra de Iron Maiden, desde el primer momento se convirtieron en legendarios.
Dos grandes álbumes salieron posteriormente, el Factor X en 1995 (10 LP de la banda) y Virtual XI en 1998 (11 LP de la banda). Recuerdo claramente porque en 1995 y 1998 ambos campeonatos de la división AFC de NFL, mi equipo Pittsburgh Steelers perdido, en el 95 contra los San Diego Chargers 17-13 y en el 98 contra los Broncos de Denver 24-21.
El álbum factor X muestra un Iron Maiden más maduro, más acústica y no tan pesado como yo estaba acostumbrado. Tal vez ayudó el cambio de cantante. A pesar de que los críticos y la mayoría de la gente dice que The Lord of the Flies y Man on the edge fueron las mejores canciones, para mí los temas que hacen de este álbum una pieza única de RNR son The Aftermath, Judgment of Heaven y the Unbeliever.
Álbum Virtual XI, a pesar de lo dicen el público en general y los críticos, creo que este álbum fue un gran trabajo volviendo a las raíces y manteniendo la tendencia de Soft Metal Rock.
Por supuesto que no voy a discutir que Iron Maiden con la voz de Bruce Dickinson es mejor, con esto también digo no tuve la oportunidad de escuchar el ex cantante que inicio con Iron Maiden Paul Di'anno lo suficiente, el primer álbum se escuchaba de lo mejor. Los Cambios deben ser aceptados, incluso en el Rock N' Roll.
Blaze Bayley no entregó la misma voz, por supuesto, no es el sonido de la voz de Bruce. Para mi no es el peor álbum de Iron Maiden, admito como fanático que no es lo que esperaba o estaba acostumbrado.
Hoy Iron maiden tiene 16 discos de estudio y todavía de gira. Volveré a hablar de esta banda en algún otro momento. Por los momentos Iron Maiden se presentara en Tampa en junio de 2017. Quizás tenga que ir y disfrutar Heavy Metal Rock con o sin Bruce
